The case: The robotized process cell designed to work as a flexible pipe bending centre. Its main goals:

The goal: Extension to existing process cell, improving its work in following ways:



  • Shortening the processing cycles
  • Reduction of error-rate caused by operator
  • Optimization of material usage

Technology: Project is based on selection of components being part of MIDIH Software Framework. MIDIH itself is a preselected suit of components coming from Apache ecosystem.

  • Apache Zeppelin - Interactive notebook

MIDIH Project

The results: Adaptation of MIDIH framework introduced a number of improvements to workflow:



  • A large number of more complicated products can now be processed with no need for modernization of existing hardware
  • Due to reducing the involvement of a human operator in the process, significant improvement in the reliability of the process has been noted
  • The time of processing single pipe has decreased
